History of the Yusupov palace

Nestled along the Moyka River, the Yusupov Palace is a spectacular example of 19th-century grandeur, renowned for its opulent interiors and fascinating history. Built in the 1770s by architect Vallin de la Mothe, the palace’s interiors were later transformed into their current lavish form in the 19th century, after it became the residence of the Yusupov family.
